Since the beginning of her legal career, María Teresa has focused her practice primarily on corporate, real estate, and business law matters.

EDUCATION

She studied at the Law School of the University of Chile in Santiago between 1975 and 1979 and was admitted to the bar in 1981.

EXPERIENCE

Her professional experience includes working as an attorney at several law firms (Carey y Cía; Legal Department of Banco de Crédito e Inversiones; and Pérez Iñigo, Baraona Abogados); in private practice as an external legal advisor to clients including Banco O'Higgins, Banco Osorno, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, Zurich Administradora General de Fondos, and Zurich Seguros de Vida S.A.; as in-house counsel for companies such as the legal departments of Grupo Celfin Capital and Marbella Chile; and at the Santiago Real Estate Registrar (Conservador de Bienes Raíces), in both the Property and Commercial Registries.

She currently contributes her expertise as a legal advisor at Acevedo Santini Abogados.
