Santiago began his career in the city of Santiago in 2007, advising national and international companies in corporate and dispute resolution matters before ordinary, special, and arbitral courts, both in private and public law and across various industries.
In 2013, he relocated to the city of Los Angeles, expanding his expertise to include forestry, regulatory, water, and environmental issues.
Additionally, since 2020, he has served as the secretary of the Oversight Board of the Biobío River Basin.
Finally, since 2021, he has served as an arbitrator in the territories of the Courts of Appeals of Concepción and Chillán.
EDUCATION
He studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile from 2000 to 2004. Between 2010 and 2011, he pursued a Master's in Environmental Law at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.
EXPERIENCE
Between 2007 and 2013, he worked at Prieto Abogado law firm in Santiago, and later settled in Los Angeles under the auspices of the legal department of the Compañía Manufacturera de Papeles y Cartones (CMPC). In 2019, also in Los Angeles, he decided to establish the Acevedo Urzúa office and, at the end of 2020, merge with Santini Abogados to create Acevedo Santini Abogados. This was done to consolidate strengths and have a presence in Santiago and Los Angeles.
